A Dance of Esther - For Such A Time as This

Psalm 19:1-4

“The heavens declare the glory of God; 
And the firmament shows His handiwork.
Day unto day it utters speech
And night unto night reveals knowledge, 
There is no speech nor language where their voice is not heard."


A Dance of Esther

In Shushan the citadel, there was a certain Jew named Mordecai,
the son of Jair, the son of Shimei, son of Kish, the Bejamite.
Esther, his uncle’s daughter orphaned as a young girl
Mordecai raised her as his own when her father and mother died.

The young woman Esther, was lovely, 
Beautiful in form and face. 
Lost her parents but never abandoned.
Protected and kept by God’s grace.

A Dance of Esther

Raised and cared for by Mordecai. 
Fathered a girl in his own Jewish ways.
Serving and walking in obedience,
not knowing a Queen he would raise.

A Dance of Esther

Hidden in the heart of The Father.
Blessed with beauty above all.
Given God’s favor and purpose.
Set in her seat for a Call.

A Dance of Esther

Brought into the Kingdom for preparation;
prepared from the beginning of Time.
For such a Time as this moment,
To save a Nation her steps were divine.

Obtained favor in the sight of all who saw her.
The king loved Esther more than others in his hand.
Set the Royal crown upon her head and made her Queen.
The Feast of Esther was made a holiday in the Land.

Mordecai heard an Evil plot of destruction.
In the kings gate, he told Queen Esther of their plan.
Queen Esther informed the king of the matter.
Confirmed to be the truth, they both were hanged.

Now Haman, was promoted above all Persian princes. 
Was advanced and proudly seated next to the king.
The servants within the kings gate bowed paying homage.
But Mordecai a Jew, would not bow down, daily transgressing.

A people not bowing down brought Haman disgrace.
And Haman, filled with Satan, in his wrath, disdained the Jews!
Throughout the kingdom, The people of Mordecai should be destroyed!
They cast lots, creating a plot, then brought the king the News.

“There is a certain people scattered among your kingdom.
Their laws are different from our own,” he said with disdain.
“They do not keep the king’s laws within your lands,
therefore it is not fitting for the king to let them remain.”

“Let a Decree be written that they be destroyed.
Paying ten thousand talents of silver into their hands.”
“The money and the people are given to you," the king replied,
"Do with them what seems good, according to your plans.”

The kings Scribes were called and a Decree was written,
According to all at Haman’s command.
To every province according to its’ own script. 
To every people in their own language to understand.

A Conspiracy against the Jewish people!
Hatred and killing innocent lives within the land.
An Evil attempt to kill God’s Chosen people!
Twisting lies into truth to make them stand.

A Dance of Esther

God Himself, will stand in judgment against the innocent!
Bringing back upon oneself their Evil plan!
Choosing to defy, to destroy, or to not defend
The Apple of His Eye will force God’s Hand.

When Mordecai learned of all that happened, 
He tore his clothes, crying out with a loud and bitter cry!
There was great mourning, weeping, and wailing among the Jews.
Many lay in sackcloth and ashes, in every province where the king’s Decree arrived.

So Esther’s maids and eunuchs came and told her,
and the Queen was deeply distressed, sending him garments to wear.
She sent her servant to Mordecai. to learn what, and why, this was.
He went out to Mordecai, in front of the king’s gate, in the City square.

Mordecai told him all that had happened to him.
And the sum of money that Haman had promised to pay
into the treasuries of the king, to destroy all the Jews .
With a copy of the written Decree for their destruction that Day.

“Show Esther the Decree and explain how she might go in to the king
To make supplication to him and plead for her people to live.”
Esther replied, “Any who go into the inner court of the king without His call,
will be put to death, except to the one the Golden scepter He gives.”

A Dance of Esther

“Do not think in your heart that you will escape
in the kings palace any more than all the other Jews. 
For if you remain completely silent at this time, 
Relief and Deliverance will arise from another place, but not from yours.”

“Who knows whether you have come to the kingdom, 
For such a time as This?” Esther responded with haste!
“Go, gather all the Jews who are present in Shushan and fast for 3 Days;
My maids and I will fast likewise, and if I perish I perish.”

Now it happened on the third day, Esther put on her royal robes,
and went into the inner court across from the king’s palace to stand,
while the king sat on His royal throne. Queen Esther found favor in his sight.
The king held out the Golden scepter to Queen Esther with his hand.
 
A Dance of Esther

There is a King in Heaven seated on a Royal Throne.
Creator of the Sun, of the Moon, and of all the Stars you see!
Jesus Christ, the Son of God, has become the Light of the World.
The Light that overcomes Darkness, Creator of every Galaxy.

A Dance of Esther

Our King of Kings rules the Nations, reaching into the Hearts of Men!
To bring Hope back to Mankind, again, and again, and Save Humanity.
He is holding out His Golden scepter to all who would Believe!
Bringing Life, and Love, and Liberty, from the earth into all Eternity.
