Broken To Be Healed   


In the deepest cold of my Winters’ storm
it was Your Loving kindness that kept me warm.
Love melted away the pain in my Heart 
and the Bitterness there from the enemy’s dart.

The Battle was raging out of my sight
as the Cancer within me was stealing my life.
An Army of Angels fought for my soul
as prayers of the Saints prayed for me to be Whole.

In the midst of my Battle Your Word came to me 
to show me You Love me, to set my heart Free.
There, in the furious flames of that place,
You rescued me by Your Mercy and Grace.

The Darkness within me was brought into Light
as Your Love wrapped around me and fought my great Fight.
My walls all came down as I chose to Forgive
and the Truth set me Free so that I might Live.

The Fear that had held me and caused me such Shame,
The Hatred, Resentment, the Anger and Blame,
were brought to the surface by Your flooding rains,
then You washed them away with my Broken Heart pains.

Your Love crushed the lies and deceit I’d Believed
as the Fire of this Trial brought me down to my knees.
In this fight against Cancer, this fight to the Death,
I began to praise You just for Life and each breath.

My eyes, they were opened. My life has great worth.
Not because of my works, but because of my Birth.
I’d lost sight of the prize I had already Won;
the Crown that I wear because of Your Son.

So the pain and Abuse of my past was revealed
that I might Forgive and my heart might be Healed.
And my God, who has Loved me since before time began,
has walked me through Brokenness, holding my hand.

Healed through Brokenness. I have been restored
by my Heavenly Father and Jesus, my Lord.
Now, in my Suffering, I can truly rejoice!
For My God has Healed me and made me His Voice!

It is not fancy hair, gold jewelry, or fine clothes that should make you Beautiful. No, your beauty should come from within you- the beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, an imperishable quality which is very precious to God.

THE HEALING OF A BROKEN HEART

Proverbs 4:20-27 KJV

20 My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.
21 Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.
22 For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.
23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.
24 Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee.
25 Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee.
26 Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established.
27 Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil.

The Healing of a Heart is an intimate issue to discuss because we must first look at its’ BROKENNESS. We all have Broken places in our hearts. Broken places that are hidden hurts we harbor deep inside our Hearts.

We have had nowhere to go with our Brokenness, because our Brokenness scares people. Our Brokenness scares us. To feel Broken is to feel “Less than,” or Ashamed, because we are “Shattered.” There is no Safe place, when our place of security, and safety is stolen. At least this is the Lie we Believe.

We hide the hurt of our Heart. We paint the pain with Performance, or we mask it with Material things. We bury the Brokenness of our hearts. If we are truthful with ourselves, we know WHERE they are, and WHY they are, and yet we continue on AS we are. Because it is WHO we are.

We are who we are, because of the Brokenness of our Hearts. We are Fighters. We are Strong. We are Survivors of multiple Seasons of Suffering. Yet, we are sick at heart. We are “The Brokenhearted.” Broken Relationship brings Broken hearts.

I write this because I was “Broken to be Healed.” This is my Testimony, over, and over, again. This is the Testimony of the Healing of my Broken Heart. As I was battling Cancer, I found there was a deeper, more vicious Enemy, invisibly attacking from within, who was Stealing, Killing, and Destroying my life.

There were things that had to happen before my Heart could heal, before my Body could heal. There was a Spiritual Enemy who needed to be revealed. There were Broken relationships that needed to be restored.

The Brokenness of our Hearts begins by BROKEN RELATIONSHIP. Every Feeling we Feel in a circumstance, is based upon a preconceived Attitude, Idea or Belief about God, about ourselves, or about others. They all have a Relational aspect to them. Do we FEEL LOVED? Or do we NOT FEEL LOVED? How we respond, or react, to others is fully dependent on whether we are feeling ACCEPTED or REJECTED in our HEARTS at the moment.

If we feel Accepted: we feel good feelings- positive feelings: happy, content, at peace, and good about ourselves.

If we feel Rejected: we feel negative feelings - rejected, unloved, unimportant, insignificant, not special, insecure, and not good about ourselves.

We choose to Believe either the Truth of the Word of God and what God says about us; what God says about our Identity, our Significance, and our Purpose. Or we choose to listen to and Believe the Lies of the Enemy, which have Become part of us, ingrained in our Thinking, from those past, and learned experiences, through Broken relationship.

Every Experience we have plays an important role in what we Know, and Believe about God, about ourselves, about others, and about the World around us. We learned Good and Bad, Right and Wrong, through our own personal experiences of Brokenness.

We make Judgments in our HEARTS about the World around us, based on these perceptions. These become our Character, who we are, and part of us within our memories. These become our Belief System; what we believe about God, ourselves, and others and are intricately ingrained in our Thinking.

Every Emotional response we feel is a learned response. They are automatic to us because we have been Trained in the LAW OF SIN. Every Toxic or Negative mindset, begins with a Toxic or negative Belief. Every Toxic Belief begins with a Toxic memory. These are the Broken places of our hearts, brought by the Brokenness of those around us.

These are where our Foundational Beliefs begin, within our Families, within our Family Cultures, within our Family Trees, and within our own Childhood experiences. If we are not LOVED perfectly, by those who were supposed to love us, FEAR enters into the Broken places of our heart.

With every Traumatic experience, with every Broken relationship, the Enemy is right there to tempt us to Believe IN OUR HEARTS, we are not Loved, God has Abandoned us, we Deserved it, we should be Rejected. If we choose to Believe these Lies, Agree with these Lies, these Toxic thoughts, they then become Toxic Beliefs, and become the Brokenness of our Hearts. We BELIEVE The Brokenness. We LIVE The Brokenness.

Our Spiritual Enemy uses Traumatic Events and Broken Relationship to bring Brokenness to our Hearts. The Enemy uses these Lies against us, condemning us in our Hearts, condemning us in our minds, to bring Brokenness to our Physical bodies, to our lives, and to all our relationships. We have given Entrance to the Enemy. We have Believed The Brokenness. Brokenness begets Brokenness.

God is a God of RESTORATION. When we bring the Brokenness of our hearts to Him, releasing our hurts to our Healer, He will restore the Broken Foundation of Love in our lives we have been searching for.

HE IS that Safe place. HE IS the secure Foundation of Love we have been longing for. HE IS the Healer of our Hearts. He says, I AM and HE IS.

1 John 4:16  (KJV)

And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love: and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. 

Isaiah 6:10  (NIV)

10 Make the heart of this people calloused;     
make their ears dull     
and close their eyes.
[a] Otherwise they might see with their eyes, 
   hear with their ears, 
    understand with their hearts, 
and turn and be healed.”



HEALING BEGINS BY WALKING IN OBEDIENCE

Believing a lie only leads to death.

This promise of fulfillment is not the promise of life more abundant.

I cannot carry you when you choose to walk on your own,

But I will be there when you turn back to me.

Let me comfort you

And find peace within my arms.

Come into my presence and know my LOVE for you.

I have never left you, even though you feel that I have.

I have seen all your pain and all your tears and I offer you HOPE.

Sin perpetuates sin.

It doesn’t bring the life you so desire.

I am willing to love you enough for your husband

But I cannot work where your heart is closed.

Take a chance and be vulnerable to my LOVE.

Open yourself up to receive from me

And I will pour my love out on you.

Healing begins by walking in Obedience.

Trust me with your life.

Trust me with your Broken Heart.

I will not let you be crushed and ruined.

You mean too much to me to allow you to walk away from me.

You cannot leave me.

I will always be with you.

I can and am able to take care of you, to meet your need.

I can take care of your husband too.

Feel my love Susan.

I love you.

I died for you.

I felt the pain that you feel.

I also have overcome.  JESUS
