The Road Ahead

Endless tears in times of trials
Wishing I could run for miles
Only steps beyond the start
Revisiting my Broken Heart

Hallowed in this place of pain
Summer’s heat has come again
Sunken shell of flesh am I
All I seem to do is cry

In the place of Brokenness
I am helpless in this test
Help has left I’m on my own
In recovering this Broken Bone

Grieving what is physically gone
Those around me moving on
7 months learning to walk
Strength is lost I cannot talk

Bearing weight is hard to stand
No one knows the pain I’m in
Body Broken from this Trial
Depression lingers in the isle

My heart is Broken from this place
Your Suffering Servant needs Your Grace
Give me patience for this ordeal
Your Path of Life that I may Heal

The Road Ahead is long and true
All I can do is follow You
Upon The Solid Rock I stand
Jesus, give me Your right Hand

Believe the Beautiful!
