Lifting my eyes up toward Heaven
Reaching into the Heart of God
Grasping the presence of Your loveliness
Needing desperately the mercies of Your Love 

Holding onto the Hopes of Your Promises
Waiting in the shadows of Your Plans
Believing in the Righteousness You’ve given
Another Season of Suffering by Your Hands

My Heart is Broken by this endless Journey
Nothing can change this place I’m in
Struggling as I Battle The Brokenness in my body
Over, and Over, and Over, and Over, again

Recovering Beauty is a never ending task
Living crucified daily as I carry Jesus’ Cross
Seeing the weakness of my Flesh keeps me in bondage
I know it really shouldn’t matter but it does

Paul penned Your Words from prison
Jesus, Your Flesh was scourged to make me Well
To give me Beauty for Ashes in my suffering
To bring me Freedom You stormed the Gates of Hell

Too many Broken Roads behind me
Father, Forgive me for the Vanity I bare
Your body was bleeding for my Healing 
Please give me Victory over my flesh and take me there
