THE ROOT OF BITTERNESS - UNFORGIVENESS OF THE HEART Episode 12

THE BROKENNESS - Our Emotional, Physical & Spiritual CONDITION

Hebrews 12:14-15 (KJV)

“Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord; Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;”
I was here. In this place of Brokenness, in this place of Bitterness. Trapped by Unforgiveness in the end. After years of living with this Raging Angel,14 years,15 years,16 years, I lost heart, and I lost hope, and I harbored Hatred in my heart. I hated this man whom I had married. I hated myself for marrying him. I hated God’s plan for my life! What was this Life, anyway?

I hated my testimony. I hated my story. I was ashamed of being THIS person. I was ashamed of marrying someone who screamed, and raged, at me all the time. I was ashamed in front of my friends. I was ashamed in front of my family. I was ashamed in front of my church. I WAS the SHAME of my husband. Voiceless.

This was what I had chosen. This Person. This Man. This man, who called himself a Believer, and wanted to be an Evangelist, yet took the LORD’s Name in vain, every day. This man, who spoke to me with disdain, every day. This man, who called himself a Believer, yet was the ultimate Deceiver, who manipulated, abused, and controlled me? I couldn’t believe this was happening to me. What had I Believed? I had been Deceived. This was my Life. What was I to do?

He was taken captive by him at the devil’s will. (2 Timonthy 2:26) I was beaten by his own Bitterness. I was resented by his own Rebellion. I was attacked by his own Anger. I was ravaged by his own Rage. I was victimized by his own Violence. I was murdered with the Slander of his own tongue. I was caught in the overflow of his own Unforgiveness. The Hatred he harbored in his own heart. Spewing itself all over me. I was living inside his private Hell with him. I was living within a Spiritual Battle of Bitterness.

There was a Spiritual Battle raging all around me, Raging at me, invisible forces of Evil that I couldn’t Name. How could I have known my Enemy? How could I have seen my perpetrator was The Principality of Bitterness?

UNFORGIVENESS AND A ROOT OF BITTERNESS

I was living in Violent conditions. A Spirit of Violence. I was living within a Raging Spiritual Battle. A Spirit of Rage. I was living in a whirlwind spewing Hatred. A Spirit of Hate. It was a Spiritual Attack of the enemy. A Spiritual Root of Bitterness. I was SEEING EVIL, SEEING SIN, and KNOWING SIN coming against me, but I believed it was coming from an Evil man. It was a Spiritual Battle.

At the beginning of THE BROKENNESS, at the beginning of the Abuse, I Believed he was a GOOD Man who was occasionally BAD tempered. At the end of things, I Believed he was a BAD Man who was incapable of doing GOOD.

I lived in FEAR of a man I was supposed to LOVE. I couldn’t LOVE him. I became The BITTER. I became The HATER. He became my Enemy.

When someone VIOLATES US we make him, or her, Evil along with the Evil they have done to us. We see the person AS EVIL, and the person becomes our Enemy. We are not able to separate the person who is bringing our pain, from the pain of their SIN.

So, we are unable to Forgive. However, their SIN is our Enemy, NOT THEM. Their SIN is our Enemy, not them. We have not seen our invisible Spiritual Battle.

When we are in conflict with one another, I am NOT your enemy. When you are in conflict with someone who is in front of you, stirring up dissension, or discord, and giving you grief, MAKING you want to get Angry, he, or she, is NOT your enemy. Your partner is NOT your enemy, and you are NOT his.

When we separate ourselves, and confess, repent, and turn from our sins, we are forgiven. The ENEMY rallies against us, TEMPTING us to choose to walk in disobedience to God’s Law, and to follow the Law of Sin.

God allows us to reap the consequences of sin in our lives, still. We can be sinning Saints, or sinning Sinners, and have the same Disease in our bodies, because we are following, and serving the same SIN. God will always honor His Word.

Jeremiah 2:9, 17-19 KJV

9 Wherefore I will yet plead with you, saith the Lord, and with your children's children will I plead.

17 Hast thou not procured this unto thyself, in that thou hast forsaken the Lord thy God, when he led thee by the way?

18 And now what hast thou to do in the way of Egypt, to drink the waters of Sihor? or what hast thou to do in the way of Assyria, to drink the waters of the river?

19 Thine own wickedness shall correct thee, and thy backslidings shall reprove thee: know therefore and see that it is an evil thing and bitter, that thou hast forsaken the Lord thy God, and that my fear is not in thee, saith the Lord God of hosts.

In the Book of Jereremiah, Jeremiah tells us we have brought this upon ourselves, because we have FORSAKEN the Lord, our God. He tells us, our own Wickedness will correct us, and our Backslidings will rebuke us. We will Reap the conequences our SIN, Emotionally, Physically, and Spiritually. We will also KNOW and SEE it as an EVIL and BITTER thing, when we have forsaken the Lord, when the FEAR OF GOD is not in us.

You must be able to SEPARATE people from their SIN. We were not created by God with Sin. We were created by God as Saints, Holy, and Beautiful before Him Eternally. We have Become separated from Him because of The Brokenness, because of SIN. SIN SEPARATES.

You are His Beautiful Believer, yet even as Believers, after we are converted through Faith in Jesus Christ, we still need to learn about Sin, and the hold it has on our lives, and the Process of The Sanctification of the Heart.

We need to learn to walk in THE BEAUTIFUL. The Beautiful is The Word of God. The Beautiful is the Will of God. The Beautiful is having a Spiritually Transformed Mindset, rather than The Brokenness we have Believed, and Become. This is why I am teaching you, so you can KNOW and SEE the Truth, the Truth to set you FREE.

THE PRINCIPALITY OF BITTERNESS

Bitterness is a Principality of the Enemy. We open the door to Bitterness in our lives when we choose not to forgive. Bitterness is the number-one Spiritual Root that produces toxicity in our bodies at the cellular level, opening the door to disease. Namely Cancer. Unforgiveness is the number-one Block to healing.

Bitterness is a Principality, under it and answering to it are 7 spirits.

1. Unforgiveness. When the root of bitterness in Hebrews gets a foothold, the first thing that happens is a record of wrongs. Unforgiveness recalls every bad thing that someone ever did to you and brings it up to your remembrance. Flashbacks of things that this person did to you.
2. Resentment. Resentment is the record of wrongs being fueled by feelings of holding onto it and starting to meditate on it. We think of him in our mind, it we hold it in our heart. Resentment is a spiritual problem. This is what separates us from others and is the foundation of fear, which may come as fear of man, fear of rejection, fear of failure, and fear of abandonment. We begin to hide.
3. Retaliation. After resentment has started to simmer, we find ways to get back at the person who caused us our pain. Retaliation wants to make the person pay for what they have done and feel the pain we suffered.
4. Anger. After retaliation gets a foothold, then anger starts to set in. Unforgiveness, resentment and retaliation have been building and now a strong feeling of anger comes.
5. Hatred. After anger sets in, there comes hatred. Hatred says this: “Because I’m remembering what you did to me, I’ve been meditating on it, I resent it, I’m going to get even. Hatred says you have no reason to exist and I cannot stand to be around you. Hatred begins to go into the elimination mode.
6. Violence. After hatred comes violence. Violence says this: “Before I eliminate you, you are going to feel my pain. You are going to hear my voice. You are going to know my hatred. You are going to experience it.
7. Murder. Once violence erupts, the final fruit of bitterness is murder. This can be physical murder or murder with the tongue, which is character assassination or verbal abuse. When hatred and murder and violence are in someone’s life, they feel they are justified and everybody else is going to pay the price.

The Root of Bitterness is the Spiritual Principality. Each one of the 7 spirits after it, is progressively worse than the one preceding it.
